A huge congratulations to collaborator (and lab alumni) Dr. Kristin Scaplen from Bryant University for being awarded a NIH Academic Research Enhancement Award (AREA) for Undergraduate-Focused Institutions (R15) from the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA). This award will fund research to investigate the neural circuitry mechanisms underlying maladaptive reward memories in Drosophila. We are very excited and grateful to have the opportunity to continue to collaborate with Kristin and her Lab!
