Congratulations to Dr. Tariq Brown who successfully defended his PhD thesis entitled "Alcohol-Induced Plasticity within Dopaminergic Memory Circuits in Drosophila" on Friday March 14, 2025. Tariq presented his work to a full house including his parents, and then the department celebrated with Pi after his successful closed-door defense. That evening the Kaun Lab went Axe Throwing at Far Shot in Providence and Tariq got to show off his impressive skillz.
Tariq is headed to the University of North Carolina where he plans to complete his postdoctoral work with Dr. Toshi Hige.
