Dr. Rebecca Oramas and Dr. Karla Kaun attended the 66th Annual Drosophila Research Conference March 19-23 in San Diego, CA March. The conference included fantastic talks on highly conserved gene regulatory mechanisms, and incredible examples of how using a genes-brains-behavior approach can answer fundamental questions about biology and neuroscience. Rebecca presented her work on developing Drosophila as an efficient model to test novel pharmacotherapies for Alcohol Use Disorder, and received great feedback for future directions of this work.
