Members of the Kaun Lab including MSc student Sam Stea and postdoctoral associate Dr. Nandashree Kasturacharya participated in the 2025 Brown Brain Fair which was part of the state-wide annual Brain Waves RI initiative. The lab presented a fun science demo with a giant neuron and flyGrAM apparatus to teach people how optogenetics works. Dr. Rebecca Oramas created a fantastic poster to help make the information fun and accessible.
